The Black Echo - Michael Connelly A taut, intelligent, well-paced psychological thriller of a crime novel.

Jen's been a bit obsessed with Michael Connelly lately, devouring everything he's ever written. She recommended this one to me as a starting point, and one of the best. I probably will not read another anytime soon, as my appetite for dead prostitues and corrupt cops is apparently not as big as hers.

...not that this novel is bad in any way, but I don't really need to read more crime novels.
