The Castle in the Attic - Elizabeth Winthrop A fun, unassuming kids' story.

It's hard to like the protagonist because he makes some pretty dumb choices in the first half of the book, but I can forgive the character (and the author) because the second half of the book is all fun.

I should stop grousing, though. This is basic kid-lit. Not to be analyzed too harshly or thought about too hard. Certainly, this is no classic, but it ain't bad, either.
